At Traditions Health, the health and well-being of our staff, their families, our patients and their loved ones, including the communities we serve are of the utmost importance to us. We are aware of the general concerns in the community about the COVID-19 outbreak and how this may impact your decision to have our health care teams continue to come into your home or facility to provide the care necessary for you, your loved ones, or residents within your facility in the coming months.
Traditions Health has been and will continue to follow all recommendations put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), including travel restrictions. At the present time, there are no recommendations that would impact domestic travel; however, we recognize and understand the concern and apprehension of our communities, staff and volunteers.
Above all, the safety and security of our staff, patients, families, and the communities we serve is our greatest concern. Routine hygiene procedures should be emphasized during this time. For more information, Traditions Health will utilize and encourages our staff, patients, and families to visit the CDC website that outlines the prevention and treatments currently available.
The CDC is providing information that will help the public understand how to prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading. There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. The best precautionary measure to take is to perform hand hygiene frequently and avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and nose with unwashed hands.
The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
- Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
- Through respirator droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
- These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
What we can all do: Stay informed. It’s important to process the considerable information we’re all receiving in a balanced and thoughtful way.
Traditions Health will continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation regarding COVID-19 and provide regular updates to our communities, staff, families and volunteers as information from the CDC becomes available.
Please note this matter is evolving and subject to change per CDC guidance, and we will keep you posted.
