Spiritual Professional

PERSONAL

A Focus on Each Person's Interests

Hospice care focuses on the body, mind, and spirit. The end of life is a time when many people find comfort through their spirituality. Our trained team of spiritual professionals provides key support to patients — and their families — while in hospice care.

You may discover a new perspective on life’s meaning when you enter hospice care. No matter your personal beliefs about spirituality or religion, we can discuss and explore life and faith in whatever manner you wish. And we’ll respect your views, culture, and traditions every step of the way. Our role is to support you on your own spiritual journey.

Hospice and spirituality naturally come together for many people during the end of life. But spiritual care in hospice has a different meaning for each patient. We offer an open and nonjudgemental way for you to express your personal values, fears, and concerns in a safe, respectful space.

Some patients want to explore existential issues, such as what gave their life meaning and how their good deeds impacted family, friends, and the community. Others want to experience or reconnect with religious or spiritual rituals, such as prayer. Our compassionate spiritual professionals can guide you and your loved ones through whatever type of support your family needs.

Hear from Our Spiritual Professionals

What I like most about what we do here is providing a calming presence when people are feeling a lot of anxiety about their loved one's end-of-life experience and helping them know it's going to be ok.

- Andy F.

It’s remarkable when you meet people at this stage, to hear about their life in review. Providing spiritual guidance and spiritual comfort at the end, well, it’s just priceless.
